CityRoom and its sister sites began in the early part of 1997 as a continuation of two solid marketing companies that started 25 years prior, in 1973. The marketing companies began using the Internet for marketing purposes in 1984 when they specialized in multilingual, multimedia curricula development work for the US Department of Education.
Kleos is the new name for the merger of two 15-year-old marketing and public relations companies. We were looking for a short, single word to describe what we aim to offer our clients. Kleos is a hard to translate Greek word that means roughly “undying fame, eternal glory.” It is a favorite motif of Homeric epic where a hero’s most important goal in life is to make sure his name lives on after his death, being sung for generations to come.“Kleos” on Wikipedia
What Do We Do, and How Can We Help You?
As life moves faster and viewing screens get smaller, we choose to follow a slower but continuously improving methodology that has proven to bring demonstrable results in terms of better informed viewers and increased conversions. Nevertheless sometimes sheer visibility is the goal and we easily reach sites that aggregate millions of visitors. What we do:
Write articles about you and your brand.
Edit your content
Publish these articles to meet your goals. First, responsively, to our websites and social media, then where the spirit takes us.
Websites (travel & tourism):
- CityRoom – a new style of Urban Magazine with a focus on city news
- Travel Writers’ Network – A new, member association for the Travel industry
- Worldwide Tours Directory – Tours & Tourism
- Oenologist – the People of Wine
Currently we have over 20 accounts on the 15 largest social media platforms. While all articles posted to our websites are immediately pushed to 15 social accounts, the best articles are queued to be republished over and over during the rest of the year.
Extending Our Reach:
There is no question that the Internet has changed dramatically over the past few years. The usual question: “How many visitors does your site get?” has lost most of its relevance. The new question is: “How do I effectively bring X visitors to read my article?” It seems that with the right methodology, anything is possible. There are at least six proven channels of improving “reach,” including syndication, paid content discovery platforms, and press releases.
